Today may bring a constellation of feelings, and may not be a "happy" mother's day in the Hallmark celebratory sense. It may be a day of remembrance, especially for those for whom this day stirs feelings of grief and marks a milestone in their mourning. Hence the "mindful" mother's day, in recognition anyone who is a mother, has a mother, identifies as a mother, or holds a mother close in their heart.
If today is more challenging than celebratory, here are a few resources and recommendations that I hope brings you peace:

Eve Ensler:
Women are the primary resource of the planet.
They give birth; we come from them.
They are mothers; they are visionaries; they are the future.
If we can figure out how to make women feel safe and honor women,
it would be parallel or equal to honoring life itself.
