WOMEN'S MENTAL HEALTH & PERINATAL PSYCHIATRY
Women of reproductive age have a high prevalence of mental and behavioral disorders, especially depression and anxiety. Because of the hormonal changes and other biological differences during the perinatal period, treatment options tend to pose a complicated risk-risk discussion. As such, specialty care is often valuable. My goal is to serve as a consultant and have you feel informed, supported, and empowered with your choices, your body, your health, and the health of your baby.
PSYCHIATRIC CONSULTATION & MEDICATION GUIDANCE
I believe partnership is key for a truly therapeutic approach. This includes partnership with patients, families, as well as with other clinicians. I also believe mental health results from a complex constellation of biological, interpersonal, psychosocial, and environmental factors. Together, we will work collaboratively in understanding your life story in order to craft an individualized, multi-pronged care plan.
The aim within psychodynamic psychotherapy is to help you build a narrative in recognition, acceptance, and integration of conscious and unconscious patterns within a supportive, empathic and safe space. Through relational and empathic immersion in our therapy work, I hope to help you achieve a personal shift toward a life in accordance with your dreams, values, and authentic sense of self.
For now, all sessions are being held remotely via HIPAA-protected video-conferencing for people living in Wyoming.
